About Cotswold Council
Cotswold Council has declared both a climate and ecological emergency. As a result they have set the goal to become a Net Zero district by 2045.
To achieve this goal they have created a ‘Climate Emergency 2020 — 30 Priorities’ plan to deliver real action across all the communities of the district. This places climate and biodiversity considerations at the heart of all their planning decision and aims to ensure that all developments are done with the support and input of local communities.
How did the council use the money raised?
The money raised from this investment has been allocated by the council to fund a number of initiatives from its Climate Emergency 2020 - 30 Priorities plan, including:

- Fund green upgrades to council buildings, including solar PV and LED lighting
